Fredag 26.august var Jo Nesbøes roman “Hodejegerne” fra 2008, klar for lerretet, og det skulle ikke gå upåaktet hen. Kritikere og publikum var klare for en tur inn i multitalentet Nesbøes univers. Etter visningen på filmfestivalen i Haugesund ble det trillet en rekke femmere, og nå skulle endelig det store publikummet få et innblikk i Roger Browns historie, tolket av Aksel Hennie.
Jo Nesbøe røpet for VG nett at han var spent på å se filmen for første gang.
- Det er vanskelig å se det på samme måte som du ser andre filmer. Du blir litt sånn teknisk i måten du ser det på. Det blir ikke som å leie en DVD og sette seg med potetgullposen hjemme, fortalte Nesbøe.
Etter filmen var det premierefest på taket. Mange kjente mennesker tok turen, og koste seg storveis etter premieren.Filmen er solgt til 50 land i alle kontinenter og hadde en pangstart den første visningshelgen, med 104.977 som løste billett. I Oslo satte over 22.000 publikummere seg ned i en av Oslo Kinones røde seter for en solid dose norsk action.
